Me Ra Koh is a master at capturing the story of resilience. Her own Rising Phoenix story starts from the humblest of beginnings. She went from being a patient in a psychiatric ward to living out of her car to eventually capturing the beauty and resilience in people, inspiring millions of viewers through appearances and work featured on Oprah and Live with Kelly.

For almost a decade, Me Ra hosted her own show on Disney, Capture the Story with Me Ra Koh and Adventure Family. In 2007, Sony invited her to become one of their first two women sponsored photographers. Her portraiture has been exhibited in London, New York and Los Angeles galleries and museums, and published in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Martha Stewart, Parenting, and Women’s World.

Me Ra is a sought-after keynote speaker bringing laughter, inspiration, and empowerment to audiences nationwide. She is the author of six books inspiring the soul creatively and thoughtfully.

In 2022, Me Ra and her husband decided to focus on capturing and celebrating people’s resilience. Overcomers fly in from around the world to have FIORIA’s Rising Phoenix Experience—the transformation it brings often feels miraculous.

Me Ra and her husband recently celebrated 26 years of marriage and often joke that it’s because they’ve been in marriage counseling for 27 years. They also have two college kids, along with a big, fluffy, black and white studio cat. Their studio is based in Frisco, TX.
